All about Miss Alderney 2023 – Hollie Jenkins

Miss Alderney 2023, 17-year old Hollie Jenkins, was elected  Miss Alderney 2023 on Easter Saturday and the Alderney Week Team is delighted with the judges’ choice.

Hollie and her Maid of Honour, 18-year old Abigail Ledger, will be representing their island throughout Alderney Week, attending numerous events to present prizes or even take part.

With the Miss Alderney title also come several amazing prizes, which this year included a stunning necklace created by Alderney jewellery designer Fire and Ore, a bracelet from Sew Much Fun, a beauty hamper from Boardman’s, an Aurigny voucher for a return flight to Guernsey and, of course, a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  Her Maid of Honour also received a necklace specially created by Barefoot Seaglass, a bracelet from Sew Much Fun and a bouquet of flowers.

… and a bit more about Miss Alderney 2023:

Hollie comes from a long-established island family and is currently a student at Guernsey Grammar School. Her favourite subject is P.E. and her career ambition is to ultimately become a physiotherapist.

She is also a keen table tennis player and this summer she will represent her island at the Island Games  in Guernsey– hopefully adding another title to her collection.

You may recall that in 2011 Hollie was crowned Little Miss Alderney, and she claimed that title once more in 2014. Beauty and charm runs in her family: her cousin Adele Woodruff was crowned Miss Alderney in 2008

Hollie’s favourite Alderney Week events are the Cavalcade and the Torchlight Procession, the Man-Powered Flight and the Daft Raft Race.

Expect a spectacular Miss Alderney float in this year’s Cavalcade Parade – which will be created by her family who can’t wait for Alderney Week to start. ENDS
