Alderney Week

WELCOME TO ALDERNEY WEEK

Welcome to Alderney Week, the Channel Islands’ biggest festival!

Spend a week in the sun and let us entertain you!  Loads of live music and masses of entertainment for the kids, along with parties, carnivals and wild and wacky events for the whole family!

This year, after the end of another lockdown,  there’s bright sunshine at the end of the tunnel and it’s good news for everybody in the Bailiwick: From Monday 2nd to Saturday 7th August, we will be celebrating the 73rd  Alderney Week and this year’s  theme is

“ALDERNEY ADVENTURES….. THE SHOW MUST GO ON”.

More information about the programme of events will be published here as soon as finalised but we promise you another action-packed week of fun brought!

PLEASE CHECK OUR NEWS PAGE ON THIS WEBSITE FOR THE LATEST UPDATES.

THE ALDERNEY WEEK TEAM 2021 –  Same team as in 2020: at the helm of Alderney Week 2021 is again Alderney Week veteran Ronnie Cairnduff, who will be supported by several members of his former Alderney Week Team – Lee Flewitt, Ilona Soane-Sands and Nigel Vooght , and  Samantha Gaudion and Donald Hughes who joined the team last year.

If you’ve never experienced an Alderney Week, here’s what happened last year:

Alderney Week 2020 “THE TWENTIES” – That Was the Week that Was!

Non-stop sunshine, plenty of action, a great atmosphere and very happy faces all round. Alderney Week 2020 was declared an outstanding success by all who attended, and many of our friends from the other Bailiwick islands and the Isle of Man enjoyed discovering Alderney in a festive atmosphere.

We would like to thank all the volunteers who helped us stage the many events as well as the Alderney Rotary Club, the RNLI, the Alderney Wildlife Trust, VisitAlderney, the Alderney Rugby Club, the Alderney Football Club  and the Alderney Centre who hosted different events throughout Alderney Week and Mark Maurice for a stunning fireworks finale.

A very big thank you to the Island Band, the Fling, Gone Tech, the Accafellows, individual singers and performers and the visiting Guernsey bands. And a very special thank you goes to all former Miss Alderneys who happily accepted the title of Miss Alderney 2020 and took part in the Cavalcade Parade.
